Beetlejuice House

At once light and dark, spooky but playful, the Beetlejuice House whole home remodel and addition gives a new modern life to an outdated house initially better suited to 1980s Miami than Portland’s foggy West Hills. Working with THESIS Studio, Hammer & Hand rebuilt the home’s shell, installed all new windows, and applied all new finishes, channeling the clients’ vision inspired by Tim Burton and their vibrant art collection.

One of the remodel’s key features is the fun addition modeled after the iconic deck from the movie “Beetlejuice.” With deep chemistry felt between Hammer & Hand’s craftspeople, the design team, and the homeowners, Beetlejuice House shows just what can happen when a shared creative spark ignites.
