  • “We added a rather large (180 square foot) bathroom to our 1918 era house. Also repiped water lines, removed old oil tank, installed new water heater, and replaced kitchen sink and counters. It was a big project for us but H&H handled smoothly. It took awhile but the finished product was perfect. When we show our beautiful bathroom to our friends and neighbors the reaction is always the same. WOW!”

“After a nightmarish experience with an unlicensed contractor, I turned to Hammer and Hand to undo a disastrous bathroom remodel. My partner and I had been without a bathroom for 6 weeks! Hammer and Hand mobilized immediately, produced an estimate and began work within a week of my first contact. We enjoyed the relationship with our project manager Kevin and lead carpenter so much that we engaged them to finish a long-delayed bedroom project as well, and are currently developing a basement remodel that will hopefully begin next month. We love our new bathroom and it’s cozy heated floor. Kevin and the crew were professional and reliable. They finished the project under budget and on-time. I highly recommend Hammer and Hand for any project, big or small.”

  • “Excellent craftsmanship, thoughtful problem solving, and expert project management are the tools Hammer & Hand uses to deliver beautiful work.

We worked with Hammer and Hand on a complex remodel that turned an old gas station in the Hillman City neighborhood of Seattle into a hip new restaurant space for Big Chickie. Throughout the project we met weekly with the entire team to work through all the challenges that re-purposing an old building presents.

Six months later, after daily restaurant operations, their craftsmanship continues to shine through.  We regularly hear from our customers how impressed they are with the wood work.”

  • “We had a great experience working with Hammer and Hand to remodel our garage and build an in-law on top. The project was well managed and the skill level was top-notch. We especially appreciated our site superintendent (Will) who patiently helped us navigate through decisions, was detail oriented in carrying out the design, and worked well with our interior designer and architect. Should we find ourselves with another construction project, we wouldn’t hesitate to call Hammer and Hand again.”

“Hammer & Hand did a beautiful job with our kitchen remodel. Our site manager, Kevin, is simply the best. He does beautiful work and insists that everyone working on the project does as well. He’s detail oriented and doesn’t cut corners. Kevin is also just a great guy – the kind of person that you don’t mind having show up bright and early at your house each day for a few months. I’d be remiss not to also give a shout out to Ellen (the project admin), who kept everything organized and made sure no details slipped through the cracks. And, of course, Alex, who understood and was as enthusiastic about our vision as we were.”

  • “Hammer & Hand did the build out of my new store, Stock & Pantry, and did an amazing job – they are not “just carpenters” but are actually very skilled and can adapt materials to suit my needs and come up with solutions to sticky situations. The guys who worked on site were polite and funny, and gave enormous attention to detail, which is very important to me.”

  • “From the beginning we knew we were working with great people. We were thrilled with everyone’s work, professionalism and attitude. We loved Dan’s commitment to building a great house! It aligned with our vision and made the project very enjoyable. We are very pleased with the product and we now get to appreciate and enjoy pieces of it everyday!”

“We knew of the quality of workmanship that Hammer & Hand had from their owners through to their crew all the way to their subcontractors. When we hired H&H I had seen some of their work previously and every customer I talked to of theirs in the past was 100% satisfied…And what was nice was every day they cleaned the house and work area – you came home from work and you wouldn’t even know they were there.”
