PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR (SEATTLE)

Hammer & Hand seeks an experienced Project Administrator to join our remodeling and fine home building team. This position is based at our Seattle office in Capitol Hill.

About the Position

Project Support

  • Assist Project Supervisor with project estimate creation through bid tracking.
  • Prepare contract documents for new projects.
  • Track and maintain sub-contractor bids once accepted by the Project Supervisor.
  • Attend site meetings to take and distribute notes to the project team.
  • Assist with sub-contractor scheduling as needed by Project Superintendent.
  • Track project budgets and assist with client invoicing with Bookkeeping Department.
  • Create and Track RFI communication and responses from architects/subcontractors.
  • Create and distribute Changes of Scope as needed for updating project budgets.
  • Create and maintain project binders.
  • Coordinate SDOT/DPD permits as required during projects.
  • Assist Project Superintendent as needed in gathering information from subs and vendors during projects.
  • Assist with maintenance of project schedules and calendars.
  • Maintain and update various logs (Daily/Weekly).
  • Track and record all Insurance Certificates, Lien Release, construction documents and Subcontractor Master Services Agreements.
  • Process P.O. and subcontractor invoices with supervisor and Bookkeeping Department.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files.

Office Support

  • Input and maintain new lead intake and log into CRM system.
  • Share in general office duties including ordering supplies, working with building management, and ensuring smooth operation of the office.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years related experience and knowledge of construction industry.
  • High school diploma or GED required (higher education a bonus).

Required Skills

  • Excellent phone demeanor for first point of contact with potential clients and architects.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong Excel skills for all areas of project and office.
  • Ideal candidate would have some Quickbooks experience.
  • Experience with project tracking and CRM systems software.
  • Confident in web skills and adaptability to new programs.
  • Highly organized and accountable.
  • Must be able to work independently, set goals, and maintain deadlines.
  • Work well with other members of the team – collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
  • Ability to face tight deadlines with a calm and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning and improvement.
  • Always positive, with a can-do attitude, with the bigger picture of the company in mind. Must be willing to take on all tasks for a tight knit office.

LEARNING CARPENTER (SEATTLE)

Hammer & Hand seeks a full-time Learning Carpenter/Laborer to support our team on residential and commercial projects in the greater Seattle, Washington area.

About the Position

Duties to include:

  • General carpentry with the opportunity to learn and improve carpentry skills & knowledge
  • General laborer duties including cleaning jobsites, hauling materials and assisting site superintendents/carpenters as directed
  • Driving Hammer & Hand fleet truck for project errands, trash hauling, and other needs
  • Scheduling of daily site supply runs
  • Tracking paperwork for project site deliveries
  • Maintaining and managing inventory of existing storage/shop facility in Sodo

Required

  • Driver’s license and clean driving record
