Purrington’s Cat Lounge

At Purrington’s Cat Lounge, Portland’s only cat café, H&H partnered with Polymath Design to create a bright new space for their adoptable cats and potential new cat parents alike. This commercial remodel and tenant improvement project included a new café bar, shelving, windows, and custom pieces within the cat room.

Built onsite by the H&H woodshop team, the knotty fir windows spanning the perimeter of the cat room allow Purrington’s patrons to watch and engage with their potential future pets while enjoying their café treats. The new café bar, built with vertical knotty fir cladding and walnut bar tops, provides a warm and welcoming feel upon entry. Above and behind the bar, AC fir ply shelving built by Big Branch Woodworking provides additional storage for Purrington’s staff members. Custom furniture within the cat room includes bench seating arrangements, hexagonal cat nooks, and cat ledges.

With the new cat mural, as well as updated lighting and paint throughout, Purrington’s Cat Lounge feels brand new and is sure to aid in the cat adoption process throughout Portland and the surrounding area.
