Hammer & Hand teamed with architect Dan Wickline from Prentiss Balance Wickline to build this beautiful home in Dundee, Oregon. Nestled neatly into the hillside of a Willamette Valley vineyard, every element of this home was created with an emphasis on both form and function. The result is a design-driven home that manages to blend the rustic with the luxurious, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor. The home is relatively small in size but manages to feel open and expansive, with a stunning view from every window. The orientation of the rows of grapevines was taken into account in the design, so much so that the orientation of the house is aligned with them. Several patios and an outdoor fireplace add to a design that centers the vineyard itself. Instead of dominating the land, this home fits perfectly within it, almost an extension of nature itself.
