Don’t miss this year’s Build It Green! Home Tour, presented by the City of Portland this Saturday, September 24. Three Hammer & Hand projects are showcased on the tour this year:
1. Super-Efficient Accessory Dwelling Unit. A celebration of the synergy between high home energy performance and small footprint, this detached ADU designed by Departure Design incorporates Passive House strategies to achieve huge energy savings.
2. Energy Retrofit of “Clean, Green, Dream Home”. This project, carried out in partnership with Imagine Energy, transformed the energy performance of an historic Victorian home in Portland’s inner Southeast.
3. Transformation of Duplex Rental. Hammer & Hand took a dilapidated eyesore and orchestrated its rebirth as an asset for the neighborhood and model for green construction and energy efficient design.
The Build It Green! Home Tour shares twenty-two noteworthy green residential projects (new and remodeled) with hundreds of tour-goers every year. Please join us this Saturday, September 24, 11am – 5pm. It’ll be a beautiful day featuring some of the coolest projects by Portland’s green building community!
