Reserve space now for tour of Seattle Passive House, led by Hammer & Hand Seattle’s Dan Whitmore.

Seattle WA builder hosts tour of Courtland Place Passive House Hammer & Hand Seattle’s project supervisor Dan Whitmore is a Passive House pioneer and partisan.  He’s helped lead Passive House Northwest for years, serves on the board of Passive House Alliance US with Sam Hagerman, and in 2010 built the first Passive House in Seattle.

Dan’s Courtland Place Passive House is a beautiful, quiet, comfortable, gracious home that delivers revolutionary energy performance.  It’s rarely available for tour.

So don’t miss out.  Join Dan Whitmore and Sam Hagerman on Thursday, July 12, from 3-6pm for a guided tour of Courtland Place and lively conversation about the future of high performance building in Seattle.

To save a spot on the tour and receive directions to the site, please email seattle@hammerandhand.com with:

1. Your name and the names of others in your party.
2. Total # of people in your party.
3. Organizational affiliation, if applicable.

Registration is free, but space is limited, so please email your details soon if you’d like to participate.

In the meantime, check out Seattle Magazine’s feature article about the project, as well as our blog post about a gathering of Hammer & Hand carpenters there two weeks ago.

We hope to see you soon!

P.S. Happily, more Passive Houses will soon join Dan’s in Seattle, with several in the works by fellow Seattle home builders, and a couple in development by Hammer & Hand Seattle.

NOTE: In a  previous version of this post I mistakenly called Courtland Place the only certified Passive House in Seattle.  The project was fully pre-certified and passed the critical blower-door test, but final certification hasn’t yet been completed.
