Custom milled barge rafters detailed in new video for Portland new home project.

Custom built homes can sometimes come along with custom challenges that need to be met. In a recent new home construction project in Hillsboro, Oregon, the H&H team needed to come up with a solution to fabricate barge rafters. The caveat: the dimensions of cedar barge rafters were too large to mill from a single piece of lumber. Hear lead carpenter Aaron Quint explain the team’s solution in a new video from the Hammer & Hand custom woodshop. Check out the video below!
