Celebrate Earth Day with Hammer and Hand’s Home Performance team at Earth Day Portland 2012.
Hammer & Hand is proud to sponsor City Repair’s Earth Day Portland 2012 celebration. The free event will be held on Sunday, April 22 on PPC’s Cascade campus at 705 N. Killingsworth St. from 11am – 6pm.
The event will feature live music, activities for kids, and lots of opportunities to learn about how to create a more sustainable world. Hammer and Hand will be at the event to provide homeowners with information about free energy audits and rebates offered by Clean Energy Works Oregon. We’ll also be on hand to demo powerful home assessments tools like the blower door and infrared camera, and showcase our restored 1963 Chevy Corvair work van.
We are also offering a free workshop entitled “Building Science 101” in Terrel Hall, room 100 from 3:00-3:50. The workshop will explore where and how old homes tend to leak energy, methods for fixing those leaks, and strategies to offset the cost of the fixes with rebates.
The event is just blocks from the MAXyellowline and right on the #4 and #72 bus lines and features bike valet parking.
