The H&H team recently broke ground on a new modern home project near Hood River.

The project, designed by Scott | Edwards Architecture, built by Hammer & Hand, with landscape design by PLACE Studio, will be a 3333 SF single family home set on the north slope of Booth Hill with views of Mount Adams and the orchards, vineyards, and farmsteads that make up the Hood River Valley. Scott | Edwards Architecture designed the home to take advantage of these views – the north-facing side of the building will be almost entirely floor-to-ceiling windows.

Hood-River-Residence_2The structure will be separated into two parts: the main house and the guest house, each with its own entrance. A deck will separate the two parts.

The main house will have a kitchen, open living space, master bedroom, and two other bedrooms. The guest house will have one bedroom, one bathroom, and a recreation room.

The home’s design palette is simple: concrete, glass, fir, and steel.

The property will also include a separate garage and carport.
