Karuna House and Pumpkin Ridge Passive House both earned 2014 Green Home of the Year Awards from Green Builder magazine this week, making Hammer & Hand the recipient of two out of the nine awards granted by the national competition.

2014 GreenBuilder media Green Home of the Year Award RecipientKaruna House, designed by Holst Architecture, won the “Best Building Science” award in recognition of its advanced, high performance building envelope. (See article here.)

We’re proud to be in good company among award winners – see the full list here. Our friends at NK Architects received well-deserved recognition for their Stream Belmont project (“Best Infill Project”), and the excellent Grow Community on Bainbridge Island (by PHC and Davis Studio  Architecture+Design) won “Best Community Project.”

Kudos to our fellow winners, to our collaborators, and to our field crews for achieving this honor!
